About process and paperwork
Every remodel changes at least a little. What matters is that changes are written down and agreed before the work happens, not explained afterward.
- How are changes documented and approved?
- How will I know what is happening this week?
- What does the walkthrough at the end cover?
- What should I do if I am unhappy with something?
A note on comparing estimates
Two estimates for the same room are usually not the same project. Before comparing, line up the scopes side by side. The cheaper number often has fewer lines in it, and the difference shows up later as a change order.
